She grows up, but after losing someone very important to her, she becomes hurt, confused, and empty inside. As she gets older, she begins running away from home. The loving Father stands at the doorway and calls gently for her to come back, but she keeps walking. She encounters different people, places, relationships, and things that promise freedom, happiness, belonging, and fulfillment. At first they seem exciting, but eventually each one leaves her feeling more empty. Throughout all of this, the Father never stops loving her. He does not force her back. He patiently waits, watches, and continues calling her home. Eventually, she sees the warm light of her old home in the distance. She remembers. She turns around. She is afraid to return because she believes she has gone too far and is no longer worthy of being called his child. She slowly approaches the house. The Father sees her. He does not condemn her. He opens the door and opens His arms. She runs home. They embrace. VISUAL MESSAGE Show that the Father never stopped pursuing her, even when she was running in the opposite direction. The darkness represents the years she spent running, resisting, searching, and trying to find safety everywhere except in God. The warm light from home represents God's presence, faithfulness, grace, and the truth that He was there all along. The final scene shows the girl and Father standing together in the warm doorway as the camera slowly pulls away. Fade to black. Display: "I thought I was running away from God. I didn't realize He was running after me."
