There are pumpkins, orange lights, Halloween decorations, and a few customers. Raven's father, Adam, walks into the café. Adam is a sheriff with black hair and blue eyes. He is protective of Raven but speaks to her calmly and lovingly. Adam walks up to Raven. ADAM: "How's my girl?" Raven smiles. RAVEN: "Everything's okay, Dad." Adam looks slightly concerned. ADAM: "Just be careful tonight. Some of the little kids around town have been acting strange. They're dressing up like Michael Myers and pretending they're the real killers." Raven reassures him. RAVEN: "Dad, don't worry. I'm okay." Adam smiles at her. ADAM: "Okay, sweetie. I'm going to check on your grandpa." Raven nods. RAVEN: "Okay." Adam starts leaving, then turns back. ADAM: "If you need anything, call me. Remember that." RAVEN: "Yes, Dad. Don't worry." Adam leaves the café. Raven's boss approaches her. BOSS: "Raven, it's Halloween night. Take the night off. Go enjoy yourself." Raven looks surprised. RAVEN: "Are you sure?" BOSS: "Absolutely. Go home and enjoy the night." Raven smiles and begins getting ready to leave.
