The world The story takes place in a cheerful little village called Sunshine Valley. There are: small colourful houses banana and mango trees a little market a dirt road winding through the village chickens wandering everywhere a small stream green hills in the distance It should feel African without becoming stereotypical - warm, lively and believable. OUR CHARACTERS Kito The main character. Kito is about 6-7 years old in personality. He's clever, curious and extremely energetic. Personality: mischievous impatient easily excited always has "a plan" gets himself into trouble ultimately means well Catchphrase: "Kito has a plan!" The joke is that whenever he says it, things usually get worse. Kazi Kazi is Kito's best friend. He's a young tortoise who is extremely slow but surprisingly intelligent. He's the opposite of Kito. Kito: "COME ON, KAZI!" Kazi: "I'm coming." Kito: "You've been coming for ten minutes!" Kazi: "Exactly." Kazi is the character who notices things Kito doesn't. Bobo Bobo is a dramatic chicken who believes he's a superhero. He wears a tiny red cape. Nobody knows where he got it. Whenever something strange happens: "BOBO WILL SAVE THE DAY!" Unfortunately, Bobo usually makes the situation worse. GOGO Gogo is an old, calm goat who owns the banana garden. She's not actually angry most of the time. She's just tired of Kito's nonsense. She has a very recognizable laugh: "Hmmm-hmmm-hmmm." THE STORY SCENE 1 - SUNSHINE VALLEY Duration: ~20 seconds Morning. Birds are singing. Chickens walk across the road. Children are playing. We see Kito sleeping inside a tree. Suddenly- CRASH! A mango falls beside his head. Kito jumps awake. Kito: "AHHH! I'M UNDER ATTACK!" He looks around. Nothing. He slowly looks up. Another mango falls. BONK! Kito rubs his head. Kito: "Oh." He looks at the mango. Kito: "Breakfast!" He takes a bite. Then his stomach growls. GRRRRRR. Kito looks toward Gogo's banana garden. His eyes become enormous.
