AI Cartoons in Hindi, Urdu or Arabic: What Works (2026)

Write your cartoon in Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, Bengali or any language: what the AI keeps, what it cannot do yet (text in the picture), and prompts that work.

Yes: you can make an AI cartoon in Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, Bengali or almost any other language. Write the prompt in your language, put the words a character says in quotes, and that spoken line stays in the language you wrote it in. Two things do not change with the language: words painted inside the picture come out garbled, and how natural the speech sounds varies from line to line, so try a short clip before you plan a long story.

This guide shows what happens to a prompt written in another language on GenCartoon, how to write a spoken line that works, what does not work yet, and six simple prompts to copy, in Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, Bengali, Spanish and Portuguese. To write and time a line before you make anything, use the free line writer on the talking cartoon maker.

What happens to a prompt written in another language

The video model that animates a GenCartoon clip reads English best, so a prompt written in a non-Latin script (Devanagari, Arabic script, Bengali, Cyrillic and others) is rewritten before it renders. The rewrite turns it into one English description of a single shot and keeps what matters: the characters' names and looks, the setting, the style, and any line a character says, in quotes, in its original language, with the language named.

Here is a real example from the public gallery. The prompt was written entirely in Hindi:

एक रंगीन भारतीय गाँव में केले की दुकान है। एक शरारती बंदर दुकान पर आता है और चुपके से केला उठा लेता है। दुकानदार उसे देख लेता है और चिल्लाता है, "अरे! मेरा केला कहाँ ले जा रहे हो?" बंदर मजेदार चेहरा बनाता है।

In English: a banana shop in a colourful Indian village; a naughty monkey sneaks up and grabs a banana; the shopkeeper sees it and shouts, "Hey! Where are you taking my banana?"; the monkey pulls a funny face.

The video model received an English shot description in which the shopkeeper "shouts in Hindi", followed by the line exactly as it was typed. You can watch the shopkeeper and the monkey in the gallery: a free 4-second clip made from that prompt.

Prompts in a Latin-script language such as Spanish, Portuguese, French or Indonesian usually go to the model as you wrote them. A very long prompt in any language (the box takes up to about 4,000 characters) is condensed to its single most visual moment, because one clip is one shot.

How to write a spoken line in your language

The shape that works:

[Who] [does what], [where], [style], [light]. [Name] says in [language]: "[one short line]"
  • Name the language. Mo says in Urdu: "…" tells the model which language the line is in. It matters most for Hindi or Urdu typed in Latin letters ("arre, mera kela!"), which can otherwise be read as English.
  • One speaker. One character says one line per clip or per Studio scene. A conversation becomes several scenes, one speaker each; the script splitter on the talking cartoon maker cuts a dialogue up for you.
  • Keep it short. A 4-second clip has room for about six to eight spoken words; a 15-second clip or scene for one or two sentences. Long speeches get cut off or rushed.
  • Write it the way people talk. Everyday words come out better than formal or literary ones, in every language.
  • Type the line exactly as it should be heard. The words in quotes are kept as you wrote them; nothing in them is translated.

What does not work yet

You ask forWhat happensWhat to do instead
Words inside the picture: a sign, a title, subtitlesThe letters come out garbled, in every script, English includedLeave them out of the prompt and add text in a video editor
A song or a nursery rhyme with musicThere is no music track; the sound is generated with the sceneAdd music afterwards, with a track you have the rights to use
Two characters talking in one clipOne speaker per clip or sceneSplit the dialogue into scenes, one line each
A chosen voice, an accent or a cloned voiceThere is no voice pickerDescribe who is speaking (a grandmother, a little boy); the voice itself cannot be chosen
Perfect speech in every languageQuality varies by language and by lineTry a 4-second clip first, then build the story

Text is the one people hit most. A prompt that asks for "Hindi subtitles" or a shop sign in Arabic gets shapes that look like letters but read as nothing. Keep every word you want people to read out of the prompt, and every word you want them to hear inside the quotes.

Stories in your language with Studio 2.0

For more than one clip, Studio 2.0's Story Agent writes in the language you write to it. Pitch a story in Bengali in the cartoon story maker and the title, the episode titles and summaries and every spoken line come back in Bengali, while the scene descriptions the video engine reads stay in English behind the scenes. Each scene still has one speaker and one short line, lip-synced.

What you get depends on your plan. Every account, free ones included, gets the short series: one to six episodes, each a single 15-second render, with the characters described in words. All in One and the yearly plan get full episodes of 15 seconds to 3 minutes, with a reference sheet for each character so the cast stays close to its look. Writing your first story is free; rendering uses credits, and the pricing page shows every plan in your currency.

Six simple prompts to copy

Each prompt is one moment for one clip, with one spoken line, written fully in the language. Paste one as it is, or swap in your own character.

In English: a little elephant in a red cap tries to catch a floating balloon at a village fair, 3D cartoon style, golden evening light. The elephant says in Hindi: "Wait, my balloon!"

In English: a tiny cat in blue glasses waits for the bus in the rain, 2D cartoon style, soft evening light. The cat says in Urdu: "This bus is late again!"

In English: a little rabbit in a yellow scarf bakes a cake in a warm kitchen, and the cake suddenly puffs up and turns huge, 3D cartoon style, soft morning light. The rabbit says in Arabic: "Oh no! My cake has turned giant!"

For a dialect, name it: the rabbit who finds a golden carrot in the gallery was made from an English prompt whose line is marked "says in Egyptian Arabic".

In English: a little tiger cub sits in a boat trying to catch a fish, watercolor picture-book style, soft dawn light. The cub says in Bengali: "Today I'm catching a big fish, for sure!"

In English: a puppy in a chef's hat flips a pancake in a tiny kitchen and it lands on its head, 3D cartoon style, warm morning light. The puppy says in Spanish: "Well… almost!"

In English: a turtle in sunglasses skateboards very slowly along the beach promenade, 2D cartoon style, late-afternoon light. The turtle says in Portuguese: "Easy, I'll get there!"

Prefer to describe the scene in English? That works as well: keep only the spoken line in your language, as in a grandmother in a green shawl pours tea on a rainy veranda, soft 3D cartoon, warm lamp light. The grandmother says in Urdu: "چائے ٹھنڈی ہو رہی ہے!" ("The tea is getting cold!"). For more one-scene ideas in any language, start from the 30 text-to-cartoon prompts and swap the line for your own.

Cartoons for children in your language

Bedtime stories and moral tales are among the most common cartoons people make on GenCartoon, in every language. The kids' cartoon maker builds a four-scene moral story with one gentle line per scene, and those lines can be in your language too. Accounts are for people aged 13 and over, so a parent or a teacher makes the cartoon, and single cartoons are public in the gallery: never use a child's real name or photo in the prompt.

FAQ

Can AI make a cartoon in Hindi?

Yes. Write the prompt in Hindi, or in English with the spoken line in Hindi, and name the language: The grandmother says in Hindi: "…". On GenCartoon a Hindi prompt is rewritten into one English shot description before it renders, and the line in quotes stays in Hindi. How natural Hindi speech sounds varies from line to line, so try a short clip first.

Can my cartoon character speak Urdu?

Yes, one short line per clip or per scene, in Urdu script or in Latin letters. If you type Urdu in Latin letters, name the language ("says in Urdu") so the line is not read as English. There is no voice picker: the voice is generated with the scene.

Will the lips match the words?

In Studio 2.0 each scene's spoken line is lip-synced to the character who says it. Short, everyday lines come out best; long or fast ones are harder to match, and speech quality outside English varies by language, so keep lines short and watch the first clip before you make more.

Can I add Hindi subtitles to my cartoon?

Not inside the AI picture: subtitles, captions and signs painted by the video model come out garbled in every script. Download the MP4 and add subtitles in any video editor, where you can type them exactly as you want them.

Is it free to make a cartoon in my language?

Signing up is free, with no card, and a free cartoon is included on many new accounts: a 4-second vertical clip at 480p with sound and a small watermark, in any language. Paid plans make clips of any length from 4 to 15 seconds, in 480p or HD 720p, without the watermark; see pricing.

Is the GenCartoon website available in Hindi?

The menus and pages are in English, but you can type prompts, spoken lines and whole stories in Hindi or any other language, and Studio 2.0 writes your story's titles and lines in the language you write to it.
